About measured building survey project

Glasgow measured survey has recently conducted a measured building survey and topographical survey to produce a Revit model for a refurbishment project at 55 Queens Street in Glasgow. 55 Queen Street is an existing building that extends over the basement, ground, and seven upper floors.

Level of detail of measured building survey

The site was surveyed to LOD 300, with the surrounding buildings and context surveyed to LOD 200. Our Measured building survey team ensured the position of all neighbouring windows and openings was accurately recorded, along with building heights and profiles.

Do not hesitate to contact us and discuss your project requirements.

Depending on the purpose of the survey we offer different levels of details of our measured building surveys, models, and drawings. For some uses, it is enough to have a basic level of details which is LOD1, which means less time-on-site and saving budget for the client. We will advise accordingly on what level of detail you might require for your project.

The measured building survey information was used for modelling and design purposes, facilitating the architect to define a bespoke project and was issued to the architect in Revit version 2021.

All our surveys are modelled to real-world coordinates with the correct use and application of Revit’s survey point, allowing our clients to start working on the project immediately.
